Dr. Pham grew up in San Jose where she graduated as the Valedictorian of her high school class. She attended the seven-year combined BS-MD program at UCLA where she was awarded the Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with Highest Honor and Medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine. She completed her Ophthalmology residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where she also served as the Chief resident. The Emory Eye Center was recently ranked as the sixth best training institution in the nation by the Ophthalmology Times, a publication of the American College of Eye Surgeons. Prior to joining Allure Eye & Aesthetic Center, Dr. Pham was an Associate physician at the Permanente medical group in Sacramento. She was also a clinical instructor at the University of California, Davis teaching Ophthalmology to rotating Emergency medicine, Internal medicine and Ophthalmology residents.
Dr. Pham's past research interests included antibiotic usage in prevention of infections in ocular surgeries, diagnosis and treatment of intra-ocular tumors and macular holes. She has published articles in the American Journal of Ophthalmology as well as presented her research findings at national conferences such as the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She is currently an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and American Medical Association.
Dr. Pham specializes in the advanced techniques of suture-less cataract surgery using only topical anesthesia and minimal sedation. She also offers expertise in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma, eyelid surgery, eye laser surgery, and laser skin care. She has extensive experience in the management and treatment of ocular trauma and infections, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and pediatric eye diseases.
